Shabbat

We believe in Shabbat as a radical practice of rest. There are many ways to engage in this practice, and we invite you to join us each month for whichever modalities feel resonant to you.

2nd Saturday: Shabbat Hike
Join us to enjoy Shabbat outdoors. This is a chance to connect with each other and the earth. The location and difficulty varies month to month. All ages welcome.

3rd Saturday: Havdalah
Join us as we say goodbye to Shabbat and welcome in the new week. We often combine this ritual with games, crafts, or other fun activities. The location varies but we usually meet at a member’s home (we ask non-members to register for the address). All ages welcome.

4th weekend: Prayer & Torah Study
Join us for Shabbat prayer and/or Torah study. Our prayer is songful and interspersed with poetry. During Torah study, we bring our own lives and experiences into conversation with Jewish tradition, and see what meaning we can make together. We meet at Pilgrim UCC in Tremont, which is ADA accessible. These gatherings are geared toward adults, but we have a few games and activities available for little ones to play.
